Community Activities

Growing a vibrant community is at the heart of Sisters Farmers Market’s mission. In addition to being a place to purchase fresh veggies, artisan food products, and locally made goods, Sisters Farmers Market is also a thriving community gathering space with live music, weekly activities, and fun, educational ways to learn and connect.

This season, with funding from Citizens 4 Community and support from our partnership with Sisters Makers, we will be hosting “Mornings at the Market”: free, (mostly) all-ages activities. See below for what we have planned this Sunday and stay tuned for updates on future activities!

June 30th: Traditional Bluegrass Jam - Join us!

Bring a tune and join us on Sunday morning for a traditional bluegrass jam at the market: 10 a.m. til 11:30 a.m!

Join Tom Nechville and Linda Leavitt of Nechville Banjos West at the Sisters Farmers Market for a traditional acoustic bluegrass jam. Tom Nechville will have several Nechville Banjos on hand for you to try. If you’d like to join the jam, please bring a bluegrass or country song or tune you know by heart. Learn how to use the Nashville Numbering System to play well with others. Listeners welcome!

Join the jam under the apple tree in our NEW area across from Fir Street Park!
